Twice a year we organize a 'Big Beach Clean'. The photo is from the 'Big Hello' National Community event for the May Bank holiday which included a Beach Clean, Free BBQ, Live Music and a Beach Scavenger Hunt for the kids. It was a huge success, with over 65 attendees. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future after the COVID Lockdown is over. For our Annual Spring Clean we set up work stations around the village and afterwards we served food, cakes and refreshments in the Tennis Courts. Top Model Sarah McGovern joined us !
We worked alongside volunteers of St. Brigids Special School, Dundalk to man water stations for the Carlingford Half Marathon.
We c work closely with St Oliver’s NS in their projects throughout the year. We offer advice and volunteer in the development of the school grounds and education in Biodiversity. St. Oliver's N.S. have been working alongside the Tidy towns to ensure we are improving the community that we live in. · We share events to Cooley Parents & Toddler Group, local book clubs, Cor Cairlinn, The Sailing Club and Carlingford Knights Rugby Team

McArdle’s held a charity raffle and fashion show in order to raise funds for Carlingford Tidy Towns and St. Oliver’s NS school
Carlingford Oyster Company assists us with collecting the bags of rubbish from our beach cleans and have also participate in regular beach cleans in their area.
We are always liaising with local businesses about how we can all work together to keep Carlingford looking beautiful
1n 1988 we won Ireland's Tidy Town of the Year
We enter into National and Regional Competitions every year and in 2018, we won 4 prizes in 'Louth Looking Good' awards 1) Environmentalist of the Year - with over 30 years service to Carlingford Tidy Towns -Gerry McGarrity 2) Adjudicators Award for Shop Fronts 3) The Best Overall Estate in Louth – St. Oliver’s Park 4) First place for Estates over 40 houses - Clos Na Manach
In 2019 we won a Bronze Medal in the national SuperValu Tidy Towns Competition, a major achievement at a National level. Representatives from our group attended the prize giving in Dublin. Unfortunately there was no competition in 2020 due to the COVID situation
